Abstract

Mars is one of the world’s largest family owned companies, with 70.000 associates in business segments including Chocolate, Petcare, Wrigley Gum and Confections, and Food.

In the Netherlands we operate from two sites: Veghel and Oud-Beijerland. Veghel is the home of our global Centre of Expertise in bar-line technology, and our world's largest chocolate factory, where we produce famous chocolate brands like MARS, SNICKERS, TWIX, BOUNTY and MALTESERS, that are sold throughout Western Europe. In Oud-Beijerland we produce main meal products such as Oriental and Mediterranean sauces for brands like UNCLE BEN's, DOLMIO and SUZI WAN.

Next to being production sites, both Veghel and Oud-Beijerland house state-of-the-art R&D centres, where teams of passionate professionals from different nationalities and backgrounds work together to improve and develop new products and technologies, that meet our European consumers' needs and wishes, and that contribute to the success of our company.

In our company presentation, we will talk about Mars as a place to work, with emphasis on R&D, and about how it is, what makes us unique, and what we expect from our associates, with many examples and plenty of room for questions from you, as our audience!
