Jorg Janssen is responsible for Strategy & Business Development at the Dutch Top Institute Pharma. TI Pharma is a Public-Private Partnership, founded in 2006, in which all Dutch Universities, University Medical Centres and over 40 small, medium and large biopharmaceutical and biomedical companies work together. As of September 1st, 2008 he is, together with Willem de Laat, also responsible for the Life Sciences & Health (LSH) innovation program. LSH has the mission to improve the innovation and investment climate in the Netherlands, in order to be able to ‘Capitalize on knowledge, for health and wealth’. Prior to TI Pharma Jorg worked as a project manager at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, through which he was involved in the initiating phase of TI Pharma and several other Public Private Partnerships. Other projects include technology analysis and strategy and development of a business plan for (the R&D department of) large multinationals.

Jorg holds a PhD in applied physics on studying the electronic properties of carbon nanotubes. He studied applied physics at Delft University of Technology and was a researcher at the University of California at Berkeley. Jorg is a (co-)author of 14 articles.
